Dr. Seuss Rhymes and Stories!

Charley using our new red and blue wooden counters on the Red and Blue Rods!

Sam is playing our new math game. Elora taught us this game when we went to her house for her home visit. Her game had rats and cats, but we made ours with butterflies and birds. You roll the dice and take that many butterflies. When you have 10 butterflies, you can exchange them for a bird. Whoever has the most birds at the end of the game wins!

Charley writing "w" in the sand tray. "W" is for Willie Weasel! We use Zoophonics to help the children learn their letter sounds- they LOVE the animals and the body movements that go with each letter!

Hayes counting to 20 forwards and backwards on the number line! We have been doing Dr. Jean's Country Countdown! Counting backwards is the foundation for subtraction!!!
